In the current landscape of overcrowded shelters and difficult decisions regarding euthanasia, it is becoming increasingly clear how crucial it is to focus on improving pet retention and reunification efforts. Shelters and rescue organizations are the unsung heroes of our communities, but they are pulled in countless directions, overwhelmed by the demands at every turn. By offering free ID tagging, microchipping, and chip registration services, HAPI  is taking a proactive approach to reducing the number of pets ending up in shelters. These measures enhance pet identification and increase the chances of lost or stray animals being reunited with their families. By promoting responsible pet guardianship, HAPI will help to ensure that more animals stay in loving homes, which is a win-win for pets, families and the organizations dedicated to their well-being.
