Donell Randolph brings a wealth of expertise and a profound commitment to animal welfare, boasting over a decade of dedicated service in the field. His journey began at the age of 14, fueled by a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of animals. Having honed his skills in a high-volume shelter in the Central Valley, Donell's path led him to Oakland Animal Services (OAS), where he seized the opportunity to build a program close to his heart from the ground up.

At OAS, Donell took the reins of the community programs, a testament to his dedication and innovative spirit. These initiatives, aimed at providing crucial support to individuals without housing and those with limited incomes, stand as a testament to Donell's vision and leadership. His efforts not only garnered full support from the administration but also resulted in OAS' community outreach program securing essential grants and funding. Under Donell's guidance, the program flourished, offering vital services such as free vaccine clinics, spay/neuter procedures, urgent medical funding, and wellness checks.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Donell is a dedicated family man and the patriarch of his household. While he may not have children of his own, he wholeheartedly cares for his parents, siblings, friends, and their children. This role as a family caretaker is a testament to his caring and compassionate nature, extending beyond the boundaries of his professional life. In his personal space, Donell shares his home with a dear friend and her children, along with two beloved fur companions, Echo, a 9-year-old pit bull/shepherd mix, and Eevee, a 2-year-old tuxedo domestic shorthair adopted from his current shelter.
